Tourism has the potential to serve as a panacea for the myriad of issues plaguing societies worldwide. It acts as a vital lifeline, coursing through the economic, political, and social veins of nations, breathing life into communities. By fostering connections and facilitating cultural exchanges, tourism bridges the gap between diverse cultures like never before. In my homeland, Egypt, we have witnessed the devastating consequences of conflicts arising from a lack of comprehension about the true essence of tourism. Acts of terrorism targeted at tourists and the tourism industry have been fueled by a failure to grasp the inclusive nature of this sector. The misconception that tourism is solely reserved for the privileged few has hindered its expansion and prevented its benefits from reaching a wider population.
